On 29 August, our Large Area WiFi (LAWiFi) System was honoured as a National Merit recipient at the iAwards in Adelaide, a recognition that reflects our commitment to advancing connectivity solutions in regional and remote areas. With this national achievement, the LAWiFi project now qualifies to represent Australia in the prestigious Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards, taking place from 4-7 December in Brunei.

The APICTA Awards bring together top innovators from 17 economies across the Asia-Pacific region, creating a unique platform for knowledge exchange, partnerships, and the promotion of indigenous ICT solutions on a global scale. This program welcomes participants from various sectors – including start-ups, entrepreneurs, public organisations, and students – and offers a rare opportunity for broad, cross-sector collaboration and international exposure.

Representing Australia at the APICTA Awards provides invaluable opportunities for visibility and connections across the Asia-Pacific region. We are thrilled to embark on this journey and look forward to the possibilities that the APICTA Awards may bring for LAWiFi.
